Please answer the questions marked in RED on the reading response template that I attached on this order. Do NOT change the template, just fill in the blanks. Answer questions 1, 3, and 4 only referencing from the article attached (do not find answer anywhere else). Please use in-text citation for questions 1, 3, and 4.

Sexuality and sexual violence

In some ways, we as a society are accustomed to think about sexuality as intensely private. Yet our sense of what sexuality means and how it feels is always shaped by our social context. On this note, #MeToo founder Tarana Burke recently said that she hoped we would re-socialize ourselves about sexuality and sexual violence. How do you think we can re-envision sexuality as a dimension of our lives that is justice-centered, that helps us end sexual violence, and that promotes our flourishing as humans?

Be sure to define your terms carefully here.
Sub-questions to help spur your thinking: how do we need to think and act differently to combat sexual violence effectively? How would both Christian and broader secular views of sexuality and sexual violence have to be transformed? How are people of all genders respectively implicated in this work?

Ramayana

Let's now turn to another example representing the internal diversity within Hinduism.  Please read the following two articles on the epic Ramayana.  The first is an overview of the epic from Professor Vinay Lal from UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles.)  The second is a 2011 news story from the Sunday Guardian about how an influential essay entitled 300 Ramayanas from the renowned scholar A.K. Ramanujan was removed from the B.A. syllabus of Delhi University.

Keeping in mind your reactions to both the readings above, please share your reflections in the discussion board.  What surprised you in these depictions?  What did you find compelling or challenging? Please post your response and respond to the posts of at least two other people.  The sources are below
