For the Design Board

For this film review, choose a five minute extract from the film to analyze and identify that extract with a timecode (ex. Vertigo, timecode 1:45:23-1:50:23). Include the cultural context of the chosen film text, making reference to relevant research that relates to the selected film and comes from appropriate sources. Some researched history of the film or the films production. How the film connects to other films and genres. And a personal criticism.

watch 2 movies and write an essay (3-4pages) that illustrates the concepts of the POLYCENTRIC, POLYMORPHIC, and POLYVALENT in world cinema. To answer this question, you should relate the films and the three concepts to topics covered in the class.
(for example, film festivals, Bollywood, small cinemas, blockbusters, piracy, etc.).
Examples of phenomena include film festivals, blockbusters, co-productions, etc. For instance, film festivals are a transnational phenomenon that creates audiences for films outside of their home country. That opens the possibility of audiences having different interpretations of the film, which would be an example of polyvalence.
I attached a file called (final exam notes) please use it to help you understand the concepts and help you answer the question.
Use the following sections as a starting point to writing your review paper on the play "On The Exhale" written by Martin Zimmerman, which needs to describe, interpret, analyze and evaluate different theatrical elements of the play and the production. Although you do not need to answer all of the questions, your review should address each theatrical element of the play and the production by discussing a limited number of relevant points for each section.

The final paper should expand upon the work started in your midterm paper, revising and reworking the ideas and adding the elements proposed in the second research summary. You should include some of the writing from your midterm paper, but it must be revised and fully integrated into the new paper. You can use as much or as little of the writing from your midterm as you need. This is not a simple revision of the previous paper; it will be evaluated on its own merits. The criteria for grading will be roughly the same as the midterm paper. We will be looking for:
a complex and motivated presentation of the film or media history contained in your expanded a
