A focus group and a questionnaire will be handed out to participants comparing the use of fear emotional advertising in anti smoking campaigns
with the use of humour in anti smoking campaigns. The humorous advertisements were introduced in canada by the ministry of health in 2013 aiming to target younger adults in aid of helping to quit smoking.

The literature review will consist of 5 sections

firstly a short introduction to the literature review section

secondly a section on emotional advertising in general (including a definition of emotional advertising to introduce the topic.

thirdly a section on fear in advertising (also including a definition of fear)

fourthly a section on humour in advertising (also including a definition of humour used in advertising to introduce the topic)

and finally a section on emotional advertising in anti smoking advertisements to narrow the section down so i can carry on with the methodology section.

each should include literature on each topic.

– if possible please can graphs and diagrams be used where possible to simplify the findings of the literature in your own way. maybe adapted from other graphs and diagrams.
