Areas to focus on in your paper would include: who are the dominant players, what are their roles in the court proceedings, whether the system is adversarial or inquisitorial, a historical perspective of the origins of the system, how does the legal system interact with the political system of the country, what are the basic principles behind the system, how are criminal disputes handled, is your system a “pure” system or is it is hybrid of several types of systems, are there any particular religious, political, economic or social ideologies that influence your system, what are the advantages of the system to the society where it is found, are there any disadvantages, how does your system treat juveniles who are charged with criminal offenses and any other areas that you feel are relevant to a full and complete understanding of your country’s judicial system in the handling of criminal matters. Are there any features that might be desirable to incorporate into our legal system. Focus should be primarily on criminal matters but you do not need to ignore other areas.
Your paper should be no less than 7 or more than 15 pages of actual text. The 7 pages do not include the cover page, title page, reference page, page with numbers, etc. It should contain a minimum of 7 typewritten pages in APA style.
