COM 140 Week 7 CheckPoint Effective Presentations

For my final project PowerPoint presentation I plan on using a grey back round for the slides with gold and white text for the design. I chose this because the colors work well together to allow my audience to view all the details easily. I will also be using a tile slide layout for my slide show I find that it is most appropriate for my presentation to the committee. While using a tile slide layout I will incorporate some graphic and text slides as well. I will also be using some bulleted text to outline some of my important topics. I will be sure to limit my text to seven words per line and seven lines per slide. Most of my font will be 16 while some of the important topics will be larger to allow the audience to be able to easily read the material. As I have already specified I will be using gold and white text throughout the whole slide show so the audience does not get aroused with to much color. I

The purchasing department has narrowed the choice down to two models.  One is the A220 which is manufactured in Europe.  The other plane is the G435 which is built in the United States.  The two aircraft have similar profiles. However, the locally-built G435 is significantly more expensive to purchase.   The A220 has an expected life of 5 years, will cost $90 million and its use will produce net operating cash inflows of $30 million per year. The G435 has a life of 10 years, will cost $128 million, and its use will produce net operating cash inflows of $25 million per year.  Airvalue plans to serve the route for 10 years. Modern Furniture Company had finally arrived at the point where it had a sufficient excess cash

Modern Furniture Company had finally arrived at the point where it had a sufficient excess cash flow of $4.8 million to consider paying a dividend. It had 3 million shares of stock outstanding and was considering paying a cash dividend of $1.60 per share. The firm's total earnings were $12 million, providing $4.00 in earnings per share. The stock traded in the market at $88.00 per share. However, Al Rosen, the chief financial officer, was not sure that paying a cash dividend was the best route to go. He had recently read a number of articles in The Wall Street Journal about the advantages of stock repurchases and before he made a recommendation to the CEO and board of directors, he decided to do a number of calculations. What is the firm's P/E ratio? If the firm paid the cash dividend, what would be its dividend yield and dividend payout ratio per share?
