Jean Mun Discuss why anemia is a problem in young children Custom Essay
Either Supporting or debating their answer or adding to it. Thanks in advance. A simple paragraph reply per each is fine. 1. Jean Mun Discuss why anemia is a problem in young children. Why is it also a problem in teenage girls? Anemia is a problem in young children because of the nutrition they get. Iron-deficiency anemia is the most common nutritional deficiency in children. A lot of children at young ages, like toddlers tend to drink more cow’s milk and do not eat enough fruits and vegetables, and protein. They replace a meal with drinking milk, which is low in iron. Older children tend to develop anemia due to they become picky eaters. Some just avoid all healthy foods all together and others become vegetarians, which is harder for the body to absorb, heme iron is easier to absorb and most iron comes from meats (proteins). Young children need to eat more legumes (like beans and lentils), and try to incorporate foods rich in Vitamin C, which helps their body absorb non-heme iron Also a problem in teenage girls, due to their bodies not being able to store more iron and because it is the time when females began their menstrual cycles. 2. Calynn F Expand on the idea, “The single most important tool in building organizational capacity is planning” CBHOs are seeking essential partners in health service planning and delivery because of their capacity not only to reach out but also to penetrate underserved communities. However, as important as they are deemed in becoming a force for primary prevention, collectively they have huge sustainability challenges. Among the many challenges, the foremost challenges surround how to build capacity and position for growth and competition with free market forces. In a nutshell, CBHOs should not only be conducting rigorous program planning, but more rigorous assessment, evaluation, documentation, and dissemination of the work they do referred to as. Planning is valuable for several reasons. First it compels organizations to interact with other agencies. By strengthening the network of connections the organization is better prepared to deal with operational and policy challenges. Second, planning is valuable because it requires leadership to engage in discussion of strategy and policy. These strategic discussions allow planners and policymakers to examine and explore underlying assumptions, objectives, options, opportunities, risks and countless number of other factors. In turn this leads to better plans. Third, during the development and review of plans, other members will have a chance to scrutinize the plan and improve it. 3. Shelby D Expand on the idea, “The single most important tool in building organizational capacity is planning”. I think that planning being the single most important tool is true for a lot of things. Planning is extremely important when it comes to building an organization. Nothing is ever done well if a plan is not set in place to begin with. A health care organization requires copious amounts of planning before it can run successfully, efficiently, and fully. A plan is like a blueprint, a rough draft, or a collection of ideas to be utilized at a later date. Without a strong plan set in place, a health care organization is most likely going to struggle and/or fail completely. Planning is important!
