Format Paragraph #1-The Introduction Begin with your thesis or an attention grabber that captures your reader’s interest. Paragraphs #2-4 Body Paragraphs -Your story. Each paragraph of the body of the narrative essay must have a dominant point that directly relates to the essay thesis. Begin each paragraph with a topic sentence. All supporting sentences within each body paragraph must have a direct and factual relationship to the dominant point. Appropriate use of transitions is also crucial to a good narrative essay. Transitions (First, Later, In the end, Second, Third, Moreover, However, etc) confirm the organization and the logic of your composition as they allow the reader to move smoothly from point to point of your essay.
