Please answer the following questions (don’t need to write the questions in the assignment document) using the uploaded lecture documents, the book "Social Determinants of Health" by Dennis Raphael Second Edition. Each question has point marks (informing about how much each answer is worth) and some should not exceed the limited number of words that were listed, please write word count of the answer before each:

SECTION A
Question A1 (2 points)
What is the greatest health cost driver? What has been the most improvement in public health to date? (hint: what has led to the most lives saved?)

Question A2 (2 points)
What is the definition of public health and how is it different/same from the generic definition of health?

Question A3 (2 points; can be in point form; no more than 100 words)
The readings talked about the 4 features of a high quality childcare program, what are they?

Question A4 (2 points)
What are the levels of health care in Canada? How is it delivered?

Question A5 (2 points)
What are the 5 criteria of the Canada Health Act? Explain

SECTION B
Question B1 (6 points; 300 words)
Social factors present during early childhood are powerful direct and indirect predictors of lifelong health and well-being. Exposure to an early education program not only provides a child with skills for later learning, but also has the capacity to permanently change brain development and improve cognitive abilities. However, for these effects to be worthwhile, exposure needs to be early, intensive, and systematic. Why? What does the link between food security and housing say?

Question B2 (3 points; 150 words)
Governments answer to increasing rental space at the low end was to encourage the private sector to build high-end rental units. Did this work? Think critically beyond the readings, what implications might this have on families in retirement?

B3 (6 points, 150 words)
Describe the 3 levels of prevention in public health, provide an example for each.

SECTION C
Question C1: (8 points; 250 words)
Some view food security as a right rather than privilege, meaning that no one should go hungry. Unfortunately thousands of Canadians go hungry everyday. We also understand that income is related to almost every determinant of health. Will increasing income truly reduce food insecurity in poor households or will money be diverted to other essential household needs? Would increasing income affect food prices locally, nationally, or internationally?
